I am so sorry for the loss of your wife. I know it's hard to think that she's gone, but God provided you with a beautiful baby girl who can fill part of your heart. I know that you are going to be an amazing daddy for her. And she will help you through this, I promise. Just know that there is always a plan, God just sometimes hides them. You and Madeline will be in my thoughts and prayers. Courtney

My prayers are with you. In time you will realize that your function and value to your daughter is far greater than matching her clothes and braiding her hair. I am confident you will be a fabulous father and a fiting tribute to your wife's memory. Bless you and your beautiful new baby daughter.

Matt, Just wanted you to hear from a survivor 21 years out. The worst day of my life was not the day my husband died, and I delivered the son he would never meet. That day was filled with friends, family and support unimaginable. As you well know, it comes in the days later when all of those support systems drift back to their own lives. I am having some rough times now because my son is beginning to wonder about the man he lost and who that person was. What music did he like? Would he like my music? Would he like me? Cherish Madeline, cherish your support system. I cherish every minute with my son and know those moments are fleeting. :)
