I think Tarkenton has some of the best insights into Ponder. He's basically said that he's got all of the physical tools, but needs to step into the pocket and throw with confidence. He also noted that while the WRs are average at best, Ponder still can make throws to them that he hasn't. He pointed out some interesting numbers for Aikman and Young in their first two years which were worse than Ponder's. Can Ponder be RGIII or Luck? No. But he could be a bit like Fran himself. He just needs to string some solid starts together down the final stretch.

Subtract the engagement, and replace the word "Ponder" for "Jackson" and you have Groundhog Day, unfortunately.

For Christian Ponder: "Man looks in the abyss, there's nothing staring back at him. At that moment, man finds his character. And that is what keeps him out of the abyss." --From the Lou Mannheil character (played by Hal Holbrook) in the movie "Wall Street." Good luck going forward, Christian.

Awww, I'm glad Ponder is still doing ok, and confident. You hang in there Christian! Just wait until we get the best WR's in the NFL, the best Offensive Line, and hire one of the best O. Cordinators and then FINALLY you'll be the "average" QB we always knew you could be!

You could give Blunder the greatest receivers in the world, but if he can't deliver the ball crisply in a timely manner, and on target, they are not going to catch it. Blunders accuracy is terrible. He has no reason whatsoever to feel confident.

He has found his rhythm. He is consistently awful. He is still happy because he is getting paid a guaranteed salary of 10 million dollars and his fiancé is Samantha Steel.

Even if he had a receiver who gets deep, he can't throw deep. AP got deep and he hit the defender in the back! Even the defenders are underthrown to. Christian, or Muslim, or Catholic, or whatever the heck your name is, if you really care about the team, bench yourself because your spineless coach doesn't have the guts to.

sorry to say, Ponder isn't an NFL caliber QB, Like Percy, he's fragile. Not sure about the coaches. Why is Musgrave's card so small...? This season is over, going to tivo & go bird hunting. Idaho peregrine out! ps we should go after Titus Young in the off season!!!
