Did Hennepin County and the FTA get caught trying to keep the DEIS on the down low? They didn't bother to tell the STB it was out on the streets? I can understand why, if I had produced this embarrassment of an DEIS document I would try to keep it hidden also.

The DEIS report is fatally flawed on its face. After much public discussion a $100,000,000 typographical error in the DEIS, involving critical expense estimates, was belatedly acknowledged. Beyond the $100,000,000 error, the DEIS report failed to address the serious safety issues involved with the proposed re-route. The report refused to address major rail reconstruction and mitigation expenses which would be needed with the re-route. The DEIS report should be disgarded. A competent report needs to be submitted.
