Shved, Rubio could be backcourt of the future for Wolves

The two youngsters have much in common, and with Rubio on his way back from injury, they might soon be on the court together.

I've been pretty impressed with Shved so far and hopefully he continues ti improve.....which he should. Shved reminds me of Toni Kukoc, hopefully he has a career that's similar.

Here we go again! Last year at this time, Adleman brought Ricky Rubio off the bench and the Wolves were losing early on, but when he decided to start Rubio was when the Wolves started to win consistently. Adleman needs to start Shved and forget about energy off the bench. Ridnour is a bench player, not a starting point guard. Adleman needs to do what ever he can to get Shved more minutes.

How many games into the season did it take jerry to see what most of us saw watching the olympics? 15. How could you watch the olympics and not imagine that shved and rubio would make for a very interesting backcourt? one that could defend well and create shots for each other and everyone else while running a very efficient offense? we have all been thinking about this as a backup plan to roy. either option will be a lot of fun to watch but it looks like it will be shved and i look forward to it.

The Rubio/Shved backcourt will be an ongoing ESPN highlight film but I have to disagree on your post nexus612 as this being a backup plan to Roy. With Roy's knees I would say that Roy has always been a wild card to play in limited minutes. I would also say that Zgoda has been anxiously waiting for this backcourt like the rest of us. Where did he write that he's shocked by the development of Shved after seeing Shved in the Olympics and that no one could see this coming?

Also Williams is becoming a flog. Wes Johnson was a flop, the list goes on and on and on. The expansion year when Bill Musselman was coach the wolves were more stable than this team. What Taylor has finally done is get a well known Coach who knows how to win and be patient. If Taylor realize this and let him make all decisions on talent and get rid of Kahnny boy. This team may finally become a playoff team and stop being the laughing stock of the league. How can a team that is always a lottery team always destroy players careers or not keep the right players?

Okay to bad they don't want me to write about how Kahn has kept the Wolves from building a good team. Kahn does not know talent and has made that obvious. How many guards has he traded for and traded away even before they got their bags unpacked. About 20 guards he has gone through. Now he has come up with this idea. Give up on American players and give all of Taylors millions to European players, Rubio, Sheved, Pec, Kirlenko etc. oh yeah don't make this country stronger spend it on foreign players. We thought we had enough guards a couple of years ago going into the draft and we had like 3 number one 1st round draft picks and what does Kahn do. Draft 3 guards trade Lawson away which he turned out good for Denver, draft Flynn who turned out to be a flop and Ellingson to. I guess Kahn thinks if he keeps drafting guards and keeping none . Then he will be able to keep drafting guards and trading for them. I guess his luck with forwards isn't good either. Wes Johnson a flop, now Williams is being used wrong and confidence destroyed and becoming a flog. Why is it when we let players go they tend to do much better after they leave. Hmmmm. Bring Bill Mussleman back if he were alive and you would see a winner. He did more with what little he had to work with than anyone since.

This is very encouraging! What will be interesting is how a guy like Kevin Love who demands the ball will fit into a system where he doesn't have to carry the team anymore.

With the Wolf's luck, Shved will blow out his knee just like Rubio :=(
