No doubt a great team this year! Can't wait till the start of B1G play and with the Barn rockin'! The other top teams are going to be shocked when our Barn is full and loud...very loud!! Most of us don't remember that. But an old fan reminded me that the Barn, at one time, was louder than the 1987/91 Metrodome crowds for the Twins" World Series games.

Yes, rag5122, I sure remember some roof-rattling crowds at the Barn over the years. This is one of the most promising teams I've seen in a long time, maybe even back to the 1997-98 team that didn't play in the Final Four. They just need to cut down on the turnovers.

This has the makings of a very exciting team. Dre Hollins provides the best backcourt presence since Bobby Jackson. Go Gophers!!!

I'd really like to see this team pick up steam during Big Ten play this year. It certainly looks to be a different year this year. I do, however, remember when Nolan and Hoff were in the backcourt in Nolans senior year. They looked pretty good that year, couldn't score like they do now, but Nolan went down and the team really got off kilter with Hoff at the point. Good health to the team!!

The balance is great, but like the article said, they'll need someone to take over in tight games, and that will probably be PG Hollins. And I hope they don't read their press clippings too much; maximum effort and focus will be needed in conference play. If they play with the same cohesiveness they did in last year's NIT, there's no reason they can't contend for the Big Ten title this year.

Big fall coming. B1G = 7th or 8th.

The biggest factor in their success was left unmentioned: the health of their team. They will be good, perhaps very good if they can stay healthy. Go gophers!

The 14th ranking is more of a curse than blessing at this point. Let's all hope that come Feb. 1 they are still ranked 14th or better. Then we will have something to get excited about. Beat Michigan State first, and move on from there. We are much better but let's not fool ourselves into thinking this is a smooth operating half court offense. Keep the TO's under 12 guys.

I like the balance this team has an the bench depth. Get Mo Walker on the floor more often!
