Point guard Wolters' effortless style worth all the effort

The South Dakota State standout from St. Cloud makes it look easy, but extra practice and shooting sessions made it so.

Put Hollins on him and shut him down, its simple. In big games he folds like in last years summit champ. Heck he threw the ball away and dribbled off his leg in last seconds last week vs a horrible 1-6 team from NAIA. Natalie is so overrated, of course he gets 20 points, he's the only player on team and shoots 20/game and flops like a European soccer player.

NDSUlakes, it can't be much fun being you. Is it just the NDSU-SDSU rivalry or is it deeper than that? You may want to consider seeking help.

LakesBison might want to look up the facts before running his mouth for a change. Against this "NAIA" team you speak of Wolters had 21 pts, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists while shooting 8-13. As regards to the shooting 20 times a game and being the only good player on his team comment. Nate is averaging 14 shots per game, which to me is less than 20. Next if he was the only good player on the team how would they have went 27-8 last year while returning all but one player this season. No one cares that you hate on everyone, but people would appreciate it if you stated facts and not random numbers that come out of your head.

Everything I wrote was factual. Natalie did throw the ball away, then dribbled off his foot with 10 seconds left. They play in the summit. Both sdsu and NDSU will get 20wins easily it's a garbage league. Hollins will eat him up, but he will score 20 cuz he goes to the hoop and flops like Manu ginobli and gets foul calls.

I certainly hope we don't go into this game thinking it'll be a walk in the park. Wolters is a very good player, and we haven't been so good for so long that we can overlook any team, especially now that opponents will be motivated by the Gophers' ranking. Incidentally, why didn't we recruit Wolters?

I am die hard NDSU fan and Wolters is special. The article definitely describes Wolters very accurately. The reason the Gophers didn't recruit is the same as when they didn't recruit Ben Woodside. These are 17 kids and some just continue to develop more than others and that is what happened in this case. I wish Lakes would just go away forever as he gives all of NDSU a bad name.

"Incidentally, why didn't we recruit Wolters?"----Because Royce White, Mbakwe, Rodney Williams, and Justin Cobbs were already signed in that class. Which one of them should we have passed on to go after a guy with no other D-I offers?
