Jurrgens has a HUGE knee problem and is nothing close to the pitcher he was. He is a colossal waste of money at this point.

Desperation moves, but then again I never thought they would be competitive this coming year. Too much rebuilding needed.

If the number 1 need for the Twins is starting pitching, and the names mentioned in the article above are the only ones the Twins can afford - then its apparent the Twins need to start a fire sale and start trading big names to either: 1) Acquire young starting pitching talent (like Alex Meyers) and build a new nucleus, or 2) Salary dump of the big names will free this team up to sign better free agents in the future. Without a fire sale - they are hamstrung ~

We have over 30M to spend! Also, if we really wanted the Nats pitcher mentioned, could the Nata have signed him to include in the Span trade? You would think they would have been more willing to let him go to an American league team.
