A look at statistics shows that his presence helps the other wideouts and that they do poorly without him.

Sid is dead wrong on this one. Granted, the wideouts stink, but if Ponder makes a proper throw to Rudolph in the endzone, it's game over. This loss is on Ponder and Fraser for not having the guts to bench him.

Sid did spielman or Frazier write this column. Ponder was responsible for losing this game.

Well we better get used to not having Percy thanks to Ponder, Frazier, and Spielman, there is no way Harvin is back next season he saw the writing on the wall in the offseason, begged for Ponder to be benched at Seattle and now he's had enough. I know Percy is hurt but if Favre was playing QB he'd be out there with a broken leg

Like almost all the previous Vikings losses, Ponder was the single biggest reason. He is not the answer for the Vikings, we need to get our third string QB in there so see if he can get the ball down field and put an end to all those turnover Ponder has given.

Sid quit talking about how pathetic the receiving corps is. It's the qb position that is killing this team. There is where the leader is supposed to be. This kid couldnt lead anything. What a wasted draft pick. He'll be out of the NFL in a year. Mark it and the Vikings will have wasted all this time. Time to draft or trade up to draft a qb and a wide out. No excuses Spielman.

Sid stop bringing up Rice. While talented Sydney gets hurt often. He was concussed on sunday. And the price tag was too high. Viking fans were ok with that decision. Its the ones that followed that they do not like. PLay Wright, Sign better FA than Simpson,Jenkins & Aromashodo.

"Perhaps because the other receivers have been so locked down by opponents' top cornerbacks" I just giggled at that statement.

Well, this one is not hard to figure out and you are all probably right and that is not just a political answer; I think it is correct. Ponder is not a good quarterback or at least not the franchise QB that the vikes hoped for, but neither is Webb. The wide receivers are just plain bad too. I think it is the B.B.A. disease again: Bernard Berrian Apathy..... The solution? There isn't one until this season is over. PS... I see Pittsburg dusted off Charlie Batch yesterday and won.

As bad as some vikings players were yesterday, there were some players who did REALLY well and are the real deal... obviously A.P. but Rudolph was on fire (nice left handed catch) and so was the rookie safety, Harrison. Heck, even every body on the defensive line got their name mentioned on TV yesterday. However, if you want to see something pathetic, watch our linebackers on the replay of this game.... two steps behind on pass coverage every single time. Has it dawned on Frasier to bring in a nickle or dime package on third down? How many third down conversions did the packers complete in a row? and most, if not all the time, it was on the same kind of play.... wide outs run deep, and the underneath middle was wide open.
