I'm far from the "2%", but I'm tired of this pretending that they are villians and the simply increasing their taxes will resolve the massive overspending that is being done on us "98%-ers".
Look at the numbers of what the top 2% actually pay. It's staggeringly high. Look at the "Bush tax cuts": Their taxes were reduced by a small percentage while mine were cut 50%. Be mindful that if we tax the top 2% at 100% of their income, we will still be running a deficit.
They need to make more sacrifices to get us out of this, but ALL of us do too.
Quit using the easy way to deflect intelligent discussion about the debt.
Sack, if you are implying that everyone should have the same sized sock that sounds like socialism which the President says he is not. I think a better cartoon is 4 more years of the "empty chair". Still waiting to see his proposed cuts...
When 47% of the people pay nothing in FIT, or worse are net tax receivers, how can Mr. Sack think his piece is remotely accurate.
I thought we were supposed to hate the top 1%. It's the top 2% now? Why not the top 3%? I better figure out what % I am, I hope they send out a memo or something before I have to start hating myself.
