Maybe the owners should all meet, and the successful ones can help the others realize that you wouldn't need to cut players pay if you didn't offer them so much in the first place. It's that simple. I have to wonder how they even got wealthy in the first place???? Craig Leipold-says he's losing money and just made two big signings....dumb buisness, if I made that move with my buisness I would fail. Do I think the players are over payed? YES! but... they are in the right. pay them what you promise them.

Thank you Frobes magazine for publishing the franchise values as they are figured in reverse from ROI(return on investment) and show that the owners are the problem here. Probably not all of the owners but their dictating mindset on these matters, that should be open for negotiaition is being clearly unveiled by the Forbes report. The players are going to use that report to make their case for honoring their current contracts, keeping the players rights that they negotiated last time around while giving up significant benefits to get and to fix the revenue sharing issue which should have been a top priority for the owners to begin with along with player safety. Player safety is simply the right thing to address from a moral standpoint but also from a business standpoint as well. Protecting your greatest assets(the players) has to be job one as they are irreplaceable. The league needs to clean up the late hits, high hits, hits from behind, charging, crosschecks and punch checks(roughing)that have been causing the rash of concussion issues(other injuries too) in the league. There has been some improvement but not enough as illustrated by the check from behind that PMB took last year along with others. The league needs to get rid of the instigator penalty also as the concussions have sky rocketed since players have little fear of being held accountable for their cheapshots. The instigator penalty needs to be replaced with a "baiting/unsportsmanlike" pentalty to address the occasional player who is out there with the intention of starting a fight for no reason. Let's hope something can be accomplished in these new rounds as we are getting way too close to having to call off the entire season. Not good !!!

Just insane that they continue to hurt the game. Just about to the end now, no one is screaming for hockey, really misjudged the damage the lock out would do. Owners need to understand it's a partnership and stop demanding and postering.
