Gophers volleyball outlasts Creighton to make Sweet 16

Gopher volleyball is one of the best sports tickets in town. Those women are a lot of fun to watch. The match tonight was exciting and tense. Creighton gave the Gophers a run for their money and made some of us in the seats a bit nervous. Really wish I could make it to Purdue for their match there. Go Gophers!

Bad luck being placed in Penn State's regional. If the ladies play Purdue better than we did against Creighton, Penn State will send us packing posthaste.

After next Friday's games, there will probably be 4 Big Ten teams in the Elite 8. People talk about the west coast being the powers in V-ball, but not anymore. 7 teams from the Big Ten made it to the NCAA's, and 4 of them get to the Elite 8 (highly likely), that is bordering on Dominance.

The only thing that really irritates me, is that of the 4 sixteen-team regionals, they loaded up just one of the regionals with 4 big ten teams and 2 in another regional. That left one sixteen-team regional with only ONE Big Ten team, and the other one with NO Big Ten teams. It almost looks like to they're trying to screw over the Big Ten.
