As an American currently living in Gaza, I can report that there was much celebrating on the day of the vote at the United Nations. https://loralucero.wordpress.com/2012/11/29/palestine-wins-recognition-at-the-un-i-hope/

What's a "Palestinian"? All I see are some displaced Egyptians and Jordanians whose countries refuse to repatriate them for political reasons.

Don't worry, anyone who looks like they want to negotiate any kind of reasonable deal for the Palestinians will be killed off, i.e. Count Bernadotte, the Hamas guy who had negotiated the release of the Israeli soldier, etc.. The zealots on both sides think the current situation is to their advantage...and we keep on paying.
