The compilation of 17 bills that would, among other things, improve wildlife habitat fell victim to the "political maelstrom."

"But despite its broad support, Republicans killed the bill, at least temporarily, in a political and procedural clash with Democrats and the Obama administration over the current fiscal crisis."---This is because the Republican will not pass any legislation unless corporations and the wealthy get a new tax rate of zero. Because, because ummm they are the job creators? How about this? Before the industrial revolution the majority of Americans were SELF-EMPLOYED. How about that? We created our own jobs. Somehow people are allowing themselves into being scammed that we can't create our own jobs. That's the way they want it. Keep you imprisoned in credit debt and fearful of being able to survive without their great generosity of financial slavery. Now they want to make difficult for sportsmen. Heaven forbid they would allow you to get food from some place other than walmart. This is what the Tea Party wants you to be part of. Most of them are just too ill-informed to realize it.

The GOP will not pass any bill because they are angry at the people for violating there my way or the highway rule. The GOP needs to get there act together, because they are out of date, out of touch and running out of voters.

Hate to say it, I would also veto the bill because lead shot needs to be handled by the Federal Government, not the State Government. Remember, when you buy a house, a Federal Law governing lead paint is included in all the paperwork you sign. Plus, lead shot should be "outlawed" anyhow!! As for the Polar bears, leave them were they are at. And yes, I am a Republican, and these are only the two things I don't like about the bill.

We could gain lots of access to federal lands without any increased spending by allowing more logging or allowing unlimited atv usage on roads and trails. Better yet, we could sell off some of these vast tracts of federal land and put its usage back in the hands of private citizens. It seems that liberal republicans and democrats believe that increased spending and bureaucracy creates more freedom.
