"The Gophers will be asked to sell 12,000 tickets as their allotment. However, the Gophers will not get stuck for the tickets they don't sell. All bowl tickets not sold by the various Big Ten teams go into a pool, and teams share the cost of the tickets allotted but not sold." In other words if the Gophers sell all of their 12,000 seat allotment, they could be stuck for a portion of the unsold seats of other Big 10 bowl games?? Just another good reason to decline the invitation.

Let's stop talking about the "play-offs". This is an embarrassment.

The playoffs will not be a reality for the vikings and everyone knows it. Right now they are behind in every tie-breaker to all the teams that still has an outside chance of gaining the last Wild Card spot because they couldn't beat any of them (Seahawks, Redskins and Bucs). Besides, how in the world are the punchless vikings going to make the playoffs with a 7-9 record, these clowns have been beaten by three rookie QBs this season and have yet (and will not) to win a road game other than squeaking by the hapless Lions. To say the vikings are still in the playoff hunt no matter what happens in Lambeau on Sunday is not only insulting to us readers but it is also taking a major short-cut to thinking!!! embarrassing

one fluke win is a slight possibility, four would be a impossibility Sir Sid.

Sorry Sid, but I have agreed with you about the wide receivers this year, and a few other things, and I know this is Sullivan's opinion and probably not yours; but Bud Grant had the ability to adapt and change what is wrong. This coaching staff just plugs along with the same problem scenarios beating them week after week. It's hard to watch.

Sid I missed your column on Ponder being like prior stars on stats and now this on playoffs. You mention Cincinnati making it. Ponder is no Dalton. Too bad the GM couldn't figure that out. Now I see Kaepernick's college teammates say he was confident leader. Ponder is anything, but confident. If he can't succeed now with Peterson, the line, Harvin and the rest of the playmakers, when will he make it? Playoffs? Playoffs?

Prediction, Ponder is terrible, and will throw for less than 150 yards if the game is reasonably close. If the game is a blowout, Ponder will pad his passing stats by throwing underneath a very soft coverage designed to avoid the big play downfield. This game and the rest, just like the others, will expose Ponder for exactly what he is....a not so decent backup QB that can be asked to win games, but doesn't even have the ability to manage games.

The Viks will win one more game at most. It's hard to win in the NFL without any wide receivers QB or head coach

I'm still sticking to my early prediction... Starting Thanksgiving weekend, through the end of the season, Vikes win 1 game.
