Is this the "Purple Barn" that was a popular dance club in the 60's? Anyone know?

I find it interesting that the owner's wife was the president of the Eden Prairie Historical society. What would be even more interesting is to really look into the history of how this barn was ACQUIRED by the City. That's the real story.

terise- I am not sure if you read the article correctly. No conspiracy here. I grew up driving by this barn and will definitely take a closer look next time I am in EP.

My apologies--I see my mistake. There was just some very hard feelings about the way the place was taken from my family, and we are sensitive to it. The place looks beautiful, though, and we would love to come see it sometime. At least it is still standing.

crj333 --- "The Purple Barn" was a bit west of County Road 18 (now Hwy. 169) and just off W. 78th. St., which parallels 494. It was well known as just "The Barn" until painted. Lots of memories.
