A 10% - 20% reduction in Blood Pressure is significant. I'm wondering if one can accomplish just the same with changes in diet, exercise and weight loss?

@rms316 I believe that this device (and ablation of kidney innervation) is intended for only those patients where conventional treatments (diet/exercise) and drugs have failed.

this could be a "godsend" to those of us who have not responded positively to conventional bp meds and other alterative (diet, execise, homeopathic, weight loss, and no caffeine) therapies. sometimes the doubling and quadrupling of conventional beta/calcium inhibitors have zero effect on reducing bp, regardless of changes in lifestyle. i, for one, sure hopes this procedure pans out as well as it's being touted...
