At the rate the fed is devaluing our currency, they might as well hand out chocolate coins and say they're worth a buck. At least we'd have something to eat when it's completely worthless.

Let's just go to debit cards and do away with paper money / coins all together! I hardly ever carry cash anymore anyways. I certainly don't want to be lugging around a pocket full of $1 coins. Stupid Idea!

I don't want 4 dollar coins change in my pocket, folding 4 dollar bills and sticking them in a wallet or pocket works just fine . Congress doen't remember what a dollar bill is , or they wouldn't throw so may away so often on STUPID pet projects .

Just make sure they feel different from quarters, i.e. like the Euro coins that are easy to differentiate.

I know many people who do have an account but prefer good ole fashioned cash.

For those that say they don't want to carry around a bunch of dollar coins, consider how many quarters you carry around. The dollar is a similar "low value" thing you typically don't need to carry in large quantities.

It is a money saving tactic that has worked. There is no reason not to. I just feel bad for all those strippers whose gstrings arent equipped to take coins.
