Reid better show he's an American who will support the country and do it. Enough of this obstructionism.

Even before Obama took office, Republican leaders, conservative think-tanks and right-wing pundits were calling for total obstruction of the new president's agenda. We've seen 241 Republican Senate filibusters since Obama took office. Why slow it down when we seem to be getting so much done as things are?

Welcome to the divided states of america. ============================================ Yep, the GOP chose to include 2% as to who they represent and President Obama chose All Americans. Shame on the GOP. It will be the end of their party. Not soon enough however!

Yep, the GOP chose to include 2% as to who they represent and President Obama chose All Americans. ************ If that was the case, than why is America so divided?

If that was the case, than why is America so divided? =============================================== HUGE HINT - Which party is attempting to throw the WHOLE COUNTRY under the bus so taxes don't go up on the richest 2% of Americans? AS ALWAYS - the GOP is destroying everything good about this country for a lobbyist named Grover Norquist and his rich cronies!

Apparently Boehner doesn't understand the difference between "slow consideration" and the "no consideration" the GOP is set on. It should not take 60 votes to pass every piece of legislation. Change the rules including going back to requiring a filibuster to involve actually speaking non-stop on the floor of the Senate. No more "filibusters" that only require a statement and then the Senator(s) goes off to dine with and collect his bribe from his favorite lobbyist.

Boehner said that Reid's threat "is clearly designed to marginalize Senate Republicans and their constituents while greasing the skids for controversial, partisan measures." He added, "Any bill that reaches a Republican-led House based on Senate Democrats' heavy-handed power play would be dead on arrival."---Dead on arrival and that's NOT a threat. What is wrong with making Senator's let the public know who is making the hold and to speak on the floor as to WHY they are doing so?
