I didn't attend St Cloud, but it was only a short drive from the West Bank and we hit a few homecomings there too. not as many people or as big as at the U, but it really had more of an "animal house" feel to it at Cloud. I say, bring it back. What's a college education without a bit of depravity? !!

As a SCSU alum I can tell you Homecoming was always second tier to move-in weekend as far as party weekends.

As a early 80's graduate of SCSU I find it absurd to suggest "Deer Hunting" has an objection to scheduling this event. I went there for at least 4 years(!) and never knew any deer hunters...OK one guy had a rifle but to also suggest that the "Football schedule" is a problem is also a crock...I like hockey but to schedule a homeooming in January is just telling me they do not want students/alumni wondering around in the crisp autumn morning or evening instead locked inside their hotels/dorms and frat houses...celebrating...Good Luck with that.

I remember going up there as an alum and renting the 2 story hotel rooms at Kelly Inn, hitting the bars for dinner and a ride to the hockey game, then back to the bars, and a Gary's Special before bed. You had to hit Bo Diddley's on the way out of town too. Now I just attend the U of M's games and spend my money there.
