Incubator building coming down

The former high school in Dinkytown will be replaced with an apartment/retail complex.

Demolition rather than repurpose? How about the beautiful wood inside? There are some amazing cabinets, doors built-in closets. All to be crushed and then go to a landfill? Is the new building going to be LED? I think the demolition should take points OFF of the certification. Minneapolis should be charging more for demolition.

Any salvaging happening? There are a lot of beautiful cabinets, doors, flooring, etc. in the building.

It's too bad the out of town developers didn't take into account the history of the building and look at redevelopment into condos instead of just razing it.

Send him to 'mars' -- he can 'develop' there. He can be treated like anyone else--pair of shoes and a dollar and then he 'make it on his own'!!
