Ah crap. And I was just reading a right wing article that said the world was created 6000 years ago. Damn science.

Falcon1681- which science? The one that says 6 million or the one that says 70 million years old. Seems they both cant be facts. Not sure which one of these indisputable truths I should believe. If u can reconcile a 64 million year discrepeny between facts, why is a disagreement of 5 million so hard to believe.

If u can reconcile a 64 million year discrepeny between facts, why is a disagreement of 5 million so hard to believe. - Because of the nature of the evidence used to postulate them.

As I always say, how could water dig the Grand Canyon when it can't even wash peanut butter off a knife? :-)

@falcon1681: Did you see that Pat Robertson came out AGAINST the 6000-10000 year Earth believers? That was a pretty brave move for the 700 Club guy (considering 46% of Americans, and likely a MUCH larger share of his supporters, feel otherwise). I wonder what will happen to him now.

Seriously, what's going on here? The Pope questioned the validity of animals and singing angels at the nativity scene recently, too. The Pope and now Pat Robertson? It's like a war on religion from within. Very very odd.

luz "Because of the nature of the evidence used to postulate them"**********There's that word "Evidence", how would that hold up in court? Well your honor, we think he stole $5 billion or maybe $74, our experts can't agree. I really have no opinion on how old the earth is but the things we say are "facts" are absurd.

@bethmd. The canyon is that old. Not the earth.

justsayin, Pat Robertson had to change his tune when it started to look like he's been around longer than 6,000 years. Don't worry, though. The flat Earth society will never admit that there is a crack (the grand canyon) in their theories that the Earth is flat and only 6,000 years old.

@falcon1681: Did you see that Pat Robertson came out AGAINST the 6000-10000 year Earth believers? This makes sense because the Church is generally a few hundred years behind modern/scientific thought. You know things are messed up when a religious leader saying something reasonable, is what makes for big news.
