Minneapolis civic figures endorsed Janeé Harteau's nomination. She is to be sworn in next week at City Hall.

Wow, a ringing endorsement from the west bank safety council. Great reporting Randy. In the real world she would have been "reassigned" for dating someone within the department who,is now a subordinate. The real test is if she can get rid of the low lifes on the mall.

All I can say, too, is wow. A true leader who will bring new respect to her department and to the law enforcement profession. Another first for Minnesota.

A woman AND a minority, they got themselves a "two-fer." I personally don't care who/what she is IF she is qualified for the job and they are not just trying for feel-good points.
