"The arts center was never expected to make money, but last year it lost the least money of any year since opening in 2009. This year it's also expected to record lower-than-budgeted operating costs, according to city spokesman Marty Doll." The public was sold an art center that would have an annual operating loss of $360,000. According to the audited financial statement the operating loss for 2011 was $841,414. This is information the clowns at city hall would like us to forget. The operating loss you read about in the news will abways be $500,000 less than the audited CAFR report.
