Michelle Gross no longer has any credibility. She sees conspiracies under every rock. She lied about being a registered nurse, claiming that a person had a gun shot wound in sourt. No one cares to listen to her nonsense any more.

It would be nice to think that Hsrteau can get rid of the "thumpers" on the Minneapolis Police force. She certainly knows who they are. There aren't that many of them, and they all have long records of abusing people.

Otherwise, it would be nice if she could get the cops out of their cars in high-crime areas. It would be nice if the cops would enforce speed limits on residential streets, and red light-running, too. It would be nice if she could run the department, rather than John Delmonico.

But, since those pipe dreams are unlikely to come to pass, I just hope she does a decent job and remembers that she and her force work for the people of Minneapolis and not the other way around. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Well said swmnguy, but it's not just the thumpers. There are so many liars and crooks within the MPD it's like an evil circus of dark clowns. But I think Chief Harteau may finally be the one willing to clean the MPD ranks of all the creeps.

So, does this mean that the cops will turn their main focus from pulling over speeders to arresting/catching actual criminals instead of just padding the departments coffers? You know, solving actual crimes? But then again, stopping crime doesn't pay, pulling over speeders and people not wearing their seat belts does. That's the money maker, which is all the police care about.

Hmmm. I've never been a victim of police brutality or the "thumpers." I wonder why? Oh, I know. It's because I have a job and treat my community with respect. I don't walk around acting like a degenerate and making life miserable for decent folks.

williepep...you have a valid point, but cops are supposed to be "above" the criminals/bad guys they chase and catch, by using appropriate force and acting in a civilized manner when aprehending them. As much as you and others might not like it, criminals are afforded certain liberties and rights under the constitution as well. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, so a cop using extreme force to apprehend a suspect is an example of a police officer assuming the person is guilty without gathering the facts/evidence which is just lazy police work and more importantly a violation of that suspects right to due process.
