The Superintendent has given her all to moving the mountain of an achievement gap. Continuity of leadership and strategy is key. I'm glad the school board did the right thing. We need her to stay and keep moving the work forward!

"achievement gap" between who? How about the parent gap? How should we close that?
Unfortunately, you could pay her a million and the achievement gap still wouldn't budge.
The test results have declined under her, so why extend her contract?
If she was in the private sector, she would have been let go.
Good old Unions. You don't even have to be good at your job to be rewarded!
THIS IS A FAILED district and the Board is pretty much worthless. Grad rate is worsse than even Chicago or gang infested Los angeles. I really don't care anymore, if this is what you want, go for it. Beradia couldn't get a job running any large school district in the entire country.

These superintendents had better be turning water into wine for what they are making and their contract values.
The mayor and city council should have the same metrics built into their performance assessments. The low graduation rate in Mpls really should be a top city priority.
