A study found that many banks restrict checking account holders' ability to take disputes to court.

Yet another example of why it is in one's best interest to bank with credit unions whenever possible. I had a major bank "lose" a $200 deposit for more than a month. It magically reappeared after I filed a claim with the FDIC..
