Adrian Peterson missed the bus, but maybe he was treated to some insight from a Chicago cabbie.

I've had some great conversations with cabbies. Las Vegas and Reno cabbies always have an unexpected background. New York and Chicago cabbies are hilarious, in general, and they really seem to want you to get to know and love their cities. I've had scary cab rides in China, but to the extent the cabbie could speak a little English, great conversations where I learned a lot. A Somali cabbie in Toronto, a highly educated man with an Engineering degree that wasn't recognized in Canada, explained the ongoing nightmare of civil war, death and famine in his homeland to me in such a way that it finally made sense to me what has wracked that country for 30 years. Twin Cities cabs are too expensive, but that isn't the cabbies' fault. Cabbies are under-appreciated. Good for Rashard Mendenhall.
