This measure would make it easier for legally qualified voters to cast their ballots, and I can't think of any reason not to have it available. Among other things, it would cut down on the long lines we saw at some polling places this year. The only drawback of voting early is you can't re-vote if you change your mind.
Minnesota needs this! People of ALL political parties will appreciate the option of voting on a different day. It is difficult to balance missing work with juggling kids and other obligations on election day. We need options. Let's move forward!
What part of ELECTION DAY don't we understand? A lot can happen the last weeks of a campaign that could change a lot of minds. Sounds ripe for corruption!
Of course Mark Ritchie is in favor of early voting. Look at the large leads Obama put together in early voting. Ever wonder why that was?
"Of course Mark Ritchie is in favor of early voting." +++++ Of course, because he supports the franchise for all citizens in this democracy. Anything wrong with that?
"Of course Mark Ritchie is in favor of early voting. Look at the large leads Obama put together in early voting." ++++++ Anyone of any political party or in support of any political candidate can vote early or encourage their supporters to vote early in states where allowed. What's the problem?
I wonder when George Soros told him to do this? I don't trust it. There is enough voter fraud when they only get one day to do it, just think how many false votes you can conjure when you have a couple weeks. Voter ID!!
No to early voting. Let the full cycle run it's course. You vote early, things change, you can't re-cast your ballot...or can you?
The wait times at Rogers was a minimum of 90 minutes in the queue both in the morning and night. My aged parents did not vote. Early voting will allow frail and old people to vote early. This is a good move by Ritchie and anything that enables more citizens to participate in the election is good for Democracy.
