Mr. Obama needs to stay in Washington and work with congress and get off the campaign trail. I thought he said he would work with them, not cry to the public for help. Save us all the expense of traveling. Speak from the White House garden.
Obama cant get anything done in Washington, hes been crying to the public for 4 years, get back to work. Hes not going to cut anything so too bad lets go off the cliff, were going to have to go backwards to go forward.
There isn't a good argument to keep supporting class warfare. What cuts is he willing to make? Taxing the so called rich is for one purpose and one purpose only and that's to open the door for the Democrats to keep spending OUR money.
I guess campaigning for 4 years has caught up with him. Time to finally do some work.
I think there is some room to negotiate. Increase taxes on single people earning more than 250K and a higher number for married couples. I would like to hear specifics on the tax loopholes Boehner wants to close. Will their impact be more than cosmetic. I am all for closing loopholes if they actually address abuses and fix problems. Finally, we ended up at the "fiscal cliff" in great part because Boehner was unable to deliver votes from the tea party. (A deal had been cut, then Boehner could not deliver the votes and it broke down) Can he work with his own people to get a meaningful deal done.
Tax rates on the rich must go up to where they were in the 1990s or even a little higher! the economy was way better and from what I remember, the rich were still getting richer!
The economy was flourishing under Clinton. To say that allowing the tax rates to revert back to those under Clinton results in a fiscal cliff is ludicrous. As far as cuts to medicare, isn't that what Obama has already done which led to the bashing from the GOP?
I am very glad to see that Obama has learned something from his 1st Term. That is, the only way to get Congress to act is to continue campaigning to that effect. This is exactly what he did NOT do the last time, and by the time he figured it out after two years of successful GOP obstruction, all momentum had been lost and it was already too late. Keep your foot on the gas pedal, Mr. President!
Mr Prezzy, you have a $1.4 Trillion Deficit. Taxing the 2% gets you $100B at best. You are still short $1.3 Trillion! Where are your proposed cuts? BTW you are already adding close to $100B in taxes to this same group through Obamacare tax! So the 2% are going to contribute another $200 Billion in taxes next year!

There isn't a good argument to keep supporting class warfare....The only "class warfare" that is going on has already been won by the 1%. Their lackeys are now trying to defend them from paying their fair share. It's not working, Americans are seeing through it.
