Deciding whether to fire a college football coach often comes down to balancing wins and losses with dollars and cents.

So, it's time for athletic directors and college prexy's to FINALLY end the madness and quit firing coaches at the drop of a hat. A good "rule of thumb" I believe would be to limit the number of football/basketball coaches an a.d. and a college prexy could fire/buy out to ONE per term of the A.D/prexy's tenure at an institution. In other words, badger joel macturi SHOULD have fired themselves when they fired/bought out that brewster character. They should NOT have been able to hire a coach to replace that brewster, because they had violated the "one and done" principle when they fired the one they hired to replace Coach Mason...a coach they had extended and then bought out the very next season. Every year when the "firing" season starts in college football...another round of new-coach-hiring-induced-hyper-inflation begins... ; 0 )
