UnitedHealth cautious on 2013

The insurance giant issued an earnings forecast shy of what Wall Street analysts expected, which affected the entire health sector.

And with UnitedHealth projecting strong revenue along with declining costs, he said, "the coming year can continue to bring good tidings."……. Translation: lots of people will get sick this year and they will need to pay us our cut when they do.

If, Steve Hemsley, you are so worried about the health of UHC why don't you forgo your 50+ million dollar compensation for this year. Besides that, if the company is so strapped why are you building a multi-million dollar complex on Shady Oak Road and 62 Crosstown.

Wait, there was just an article in the Strib saying that UnitedHealth was expecting record profits in 2013. Is record profits no longer good enough for Wall Street analysts? No wonder our economic system is so messed up.

The "healthcare" industrial-government complex will continue to absorb more of our limited resources with Obamacare acting as a catalyst, or if you prefer, human fertilizer. The insurance industry, with daddy AARP leading the way, has joined with Obama to extract every $ from average Americans for the enrichment of the few. And John Roberts ruled that it's constitutional robbery. God help us.
