WASHINGTON - Mary Schapiro will step down as chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission next month after a tumultuous tenure in which she helped lead the U.S. government's regulatory response to the 2008 financial crisis.

Wow, a $550mil settlement against Goldman Sachs. I'm impressed, I mean there was only $15 trillion lost. You got a huge .004% back for homeowners that probably went most to your salary and legal fees. Don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.
