You don't think "Warren Buffet, Inc." has an army of lawyers and accountants making sure he has all the deductions, loop holes, tricks in place to pay less in taxes? Why not just totally up all your investments, wages, bonus, etc. and pay 35-50% on it?

Simple enough, Mr. Buffet can easily write a check out to the IRS in the form of an estimated tax payment for any amount he wants, the amount he feels he really should be paying. In fact, anyone that feels they are not paying enough in taxes can write a check out and give it to the government. Or do most, such as Mr. Buffet, prefer the government do it for him?

Every taxpayer is permitted to use legitimate "tax avoidance" as compared to "tax evasion" but the more important idea contained in the story is that "Buffett mocked the idea that investors would pull back if capital gains taxes increase. Buffett says he's never seen that happen."

Interesting…. Warren Buffet wants the tax rates to go up, yet his company (which he’s the majority owner) is unwilling to pay the billion plus it currently owes in taxes. It’s also funny that his insurance companies provide policies that provide loopholes to avoid paying taxes. So if the tax rates go up, He’ll sell more and make more money. Also it funny that he thought the keystone pipeline was a bad idea, but he own the railroad that carries the crude oil instead. Everything he says and does is to make more money for himself. It’s also interesting to note that his son receives millions in farm subsidies. People do your homework.
