Rice was just a dupe for obama. We do NOT need her as sec. of state if she cannot think for herself.

I like the GOP strategy of giving the dems what they want. It puts the dems in a position to have to bargain with the right. Maybe gridlock will end.

So the AP describes this as a "PR disaster"? Let's see - terrorists attack and destroy sovereign US property,4 Americans are tortured and killed, no one is pursued or prosecuted, the incoming Secretary of State lies to the American public about what and why it happened, repeatedly. And the only one to wind up in jail is an American filmmaker whose movie no one has seen. Yep, I'd say Susan Rice is a perfect fit for the job.

Funny how the goptp has made a big issue about this. Under Bush there were dozens of US citizens killed by terrorists. Why weren't they demanding peoples heads roll then?

"Under Bush there were dozens of US citizens killed by terrorists." Make that thousands... ======================== the only difference, geniuses, is that the White House and State Department were warned (emails, wires, etc.) and the 4 tortured and killed Americans begged for more security. The warnings and requests were completely ignored. I'm not a huge GWB fan, but I'm sure if he had solid, credible warnings and requests, he would've done something about it. Now, I know you'll say GWB was warned just look at Richard Clark's book but that's about as credible as Richard Nixon's love for Democrats.

I think conservatives are OK with this because then she has to stand up and give details on how she came to believe the lies and promoted them on public television.

He was... and he didn't. Richard Clark isn't the only source of this fact. And suddenly now these four Americans were tortured? When did the news break on that? I find it rather hard to believe they were tortured when they were killed instantly by the blast...

tranqwhl: "...she has to stand up and give details on how she came to believe the lies..." She already has, as has the White House, as has General Petreus, and even John McCain himself. How many times do you need to hear it before you'll acknowledge it?
