It appears very likely that Smith acted beyond his right of self defense and should be charged with murder. By the same token these are NOT good kids - they broke into someone's house - a felony. And if they hadn't they'd still be alive.

Hopefully this guy dies in jail... What a complete psychopath. One shot PERHAPS might have been justified but the fact that he never bothered to call the cops basically tells me he isn't fit to live in a civilized society.
