LEAVE IT UP TO THE PARENTS! Keep the government OUT of these kinds of decisions. It's one thing for gov't to protect people from large scale "hidden" problems (PCBs, asbestos, etc), but quite another for them to micro-manage every conscious decision that any person might make.

I'd never have a bouncy house at a party. I suspect if a kid got injured in it, their parents wouldn't say, "Oh well, we made a conscious decision to take that risk." They'd get a lawyer and sue me for pain and suffering, claiming that I tempted their poor innocent Skyler into getting on a contraption that I knew was dangerous. It's the American way, after all: complain about the nanny state while suing other people whenever something bad happens to you.
