The Vikings are only slightly less dreadful than they were last season -- which is about all we could really expect this year. The only good thing as I see it is that virtually every pick we make in next year's draft should "fill an area of need".......lol

The vikings have been out-coached for the past three seasons EVERYTIME they face mediocre and playoff caliber talent on the road. This will no doubt continue until they get rid of Frazier, Musgrave and all the rest of their low budget coaching staff!!!

I didn't have a problem going for it on 4th and 2.I had a problem with the playcalling: 1st down: Pass, incomplete. 2nd: 8 yard Peterson rush. 3rd: Shotgun Pass, incomplete. 4th: Shotgun Pass, incomplete. Seriously Musgrave, you have the Best RB in the league... USE HIM!

I've supported Coach Frazier and his staff, but after seeing the 3rd and 2, 4th and 2 fiasco I have to question that support. In the past, Peterson hasn't always been a sure thing on 4th down. I remember him seemingly talking Chilly into going for it on 4th and 1 and then not getting that yard. BUT DURING THIS DRIVE, Peterson was unstoppable for the first 5 or 6 yards. He was on a roll. If you're going to go for it on 4th and 2 anyway, and you should know that when you're calling the 3rd down play, THEN RUN PETERSON ON 3RD and again on 4th if necessary. The Vikes were just not prepared for this game, and the Bears knew it. The Bears players were smiling and laughing before the half was even over. That would have motivated some past Vikings teams, but this one was just flat, unprepared and unmotivated, and that's on the coaches.

Memo to Les Frazier, Bill Musgrave, Allen Williams: Way to lay an egg after a bye week! You were clearly out-coached by Lovie Smith and Mike Tice, your game plan was unimaginative and predictable, play-calling was abysmal (as usual), players gave little effort, QB can't get rid of the ball and is inaccurate, defenders can't tackle, WRs can't get open OR catch, and the D-line had one sack and even that was a fluke. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with for the Packers next week at Lambeau. Sadly, my prediction is you will again be out-coached and GB will win 49-10.

Wow! Ponder was summed up in that last sentence ( in case some missed it)---"always says the right thing after doing the wrong thing." Watching ESPN highlights right now I see a lot on "no-name" QBs making throws I have NEVER seen Ponder make.

Going for it on 3rd and 2 and 4th and 2 is not the problem, but the Vikings treated in like 3rd and goal or 4th and goal, that's the issue. A bigger issue is how flat the team came out for the game after having a BYE week. This is unexcusable and is all on the coaches. Giants had been playing miserable for 3 wks, got a BYE and came out not just ready for the Packers but with all kinds of new wrinkles in their offense and defense against a very good Packers team.

Ponder has many games under his belt with absolutely no improvement. How many years will we have to put up with this before we look elsewhere. I can tell you Peterson and Harvin will be past their prime. All we need is a QB and a coach to call the plays and we would be in the playoffs.

No Quarterback - Run the Ball! Then at least we have a chance.
