Cabbing it to the stadium is day's first oops

Adrian Peterson's tardiness didn't go unnoticed by his head coach. Nor did his 108 yards atone for two fumbles.

Didn't get to see the second half because my local bay area tv channel bumped the game at the half in favor of the Bucs game,it was that bad.I can't remember ever seeing that happening!Just watched a beautiful end around fake to a screen by the Giants and thought why the heck can't the Vikings make plays like that? Sad,very sad.Yeah,I don't see them winning anymore this year. And to think a lot of network prognosticators picked them to win today.I'm sure that won't happen anymore this season.

These embarrassing defeats to teams in our own division are getting old! Sadly, the trend has become the norm under the Wilf regime. When the Wilfs bought the team from McCombs they openly criticized Red for the way the team was being run. But, under the McCombs regime we beat the Bears, Liuons, and Packers on a regular basis. And it didn't matter if the games were on the road or not. The Wilfs have undermined our Vikings team, and turned our organization into a losing one. Two of the biggest bone-headed decisions were made by the Wilfs alone: hiring Childress over a steak dinner and the hiring of Frazier. The Wilfs need to correct their mistakes ASAP(fire Frazier), or do all Vikings fans a favor and sell the team to someone who actually gives a damn about winning football and achieving championships.

The first mistake Frazier made was leaving the best running back in the NFL at the hotel.

No we are not going to bench him, we are just going to run him right into the middle of the line for the first few plays like we do every week. That first serious set the tone for the rest of the game.

Frazier and his OC missed the bus by not handing off to Peterson on 3rd and 2 (and again on 4th if necessary) so I guess they're even.

Best running back in the NFL or not, if he violated team policy for no real good reason, he should have sat him for a while. If Frazier lets his good players off the hook then the rest of the team will pull the same thing and the coach will lose control. Part of the problem is Frazier is too nice , and there aren't many consequences for unacceptable playing or behavior.

"it really wasn't a big deal.". Yeah Adrian, it kind of was. Wake up (literally), you're the leader of this football team, act like it.

"The first mistake Frazier made was leaving the best running back in the NFL at the hotel." -- Which inconveniences the other 52 players, trainers and staff who have to help them prepare for the game. If you've ever traveled with a football team (and I have), you know that everyone's time is accounted for down to the last minute. Believe it or not, that time is also collectively bargained. This isn't Frazier's fault. It's Peterson's, and it needs to never happen again.

I love this guy, but he does some things wrong and he is so darn good he normally over comes them. 1. He was running left with the ball in his right arm. It was not knocked out from behind, he had the ball in view of every would be tackler. 2. He often refuses to take the 3-5 easy yards available and bounces out for a loss. 3. Yes, bouncing out for 30-50 yards happens, but not frequently enough to kill the 3-5 yards available from the called play. 4. Harvin as a running back proves the called play and hitting the designed hole can become a 3-5 yard gain or possibly a huge chunk. 5. AP's greatness and effort make up for this, but one would think he'd be a better blocker and handle the fundamentals better as he goes. 6. Two hands on the ball in a crowd or ball to the outside of the play, would make a lot of us breathe easier Purple Football Jesus.

Forget about them not giving Adrian the ball in the fourth quarter. The real mistake was only giving it to him 8 times in the first half and having Ponder throw 18 times in the half instead. Who does the coaching staff think is the star of this team ? Ponder ? The OC needs to go. And I mean today !
