Graham shot back: "This is about four dead Americans. This is about a national security failure." Do you mean the one that got 3,000 Americans killed on U.S. soil on 9/11/01.

His original charges were political and so is his "softening" of his position. If McCain had not been captured in Vietnam (a truly big deal); the rest of his service and personal history would have prevented him from ever getting to any stature of prominence. He is not in reality the person of nobility that people like to imbue him with because of his POW experience. His bitterness and vengefulness at losing to President Obama has diminished anything good about him..
