Here's hoping that "Midnight Rambler" rendition shows up on YouTube soon!
Rock bands now have 50 year anniversaries?? Teenagers used to get reprimanded by their 40 yr. old dads for listening to this kinda stuff.
What an inspiration to us all. Hope they're a live DVD in the works.
Amazing! If the stones can put in 50 years on the job I think I can too! Anyone that retires "early" is a wimp.
Greatest rock band.....ever.....period....
to George13: Keep in mind that these guys have spent 50 years doing what they love and getting paid a fortune for doing it. Nobody would retire if we were in the same situation, would we???
The Rolling Stones have been around much longer than Led Zeppelin but have not sold anywhere near as many albums. Here's the fact: while the Rolling Stones do have many hit songs, 80% of their songs are crap nobody would want to listen to. Two good songs on an album and the rest filler.
Wasn't it Jagger who said he'd rather be dead than 30 years old? The Stones are the most overrated band in history. A handful of good songs in 50 years is not much of a resume.
Why can Coldplay take a few years off but we still have to listen to these overrated geezers?
Speaking of which, another overrated old band: Led Zeppelin.
