U sweeps Vermont with two quick goals

The Gophers scored twice with 70 seconds in the second period to beat the Catamounts.

So Lucia thought last nights game against the 50th ranked Vermont team would be more difficult. Perhaps because he know his team is not achieving to its full potential. Vermont has 2 victories all year...against a 27th ranked team and a 43rd ranked team. Last nights game should have been a cakewalk for the 4th ranked Gophers. The fact that is wasn't should set off an alarm, but since Lucia is just collecting a taxpayer funded paycheck on his way to retirement, I doubt anything will change.

I'm not naming any names, but the other posters before me seem very uneducated about hockey. Hockey is a game that can be close or a blow-out on any given night. Gophers won both games this weekend. That's all that matters. The jealousy of these other posters reek. Probably bummed their team isn't the caliber of the Gophers. If I had to guess, it's probably a UMD fan. If I'm right, congrats on the first win.
