This program is in absolute shambles and has no business trying to compete in the big ten anymore. There is no hope.

Bad week for Kill, and no reason to think its going to get better. Barker fiasco, getting blasted by MSU, seizure at halftime.....it is obvious that this team has no offensive philosophy. Its not like the Spartans are known as the the '68 Bears. It all begins with terrible play calling - no imagination, no execution. And the defense cannot tackle...I liked Kill when he first got here, but I have pretty much given up on him. I don't see much with the recruiting, and can anyone see any progress with the young players? And sadly, the seizures are a distraction, and I can't help but wonder if this is the best vocation for him. Maybe his state of mind had something to do with the Barker mess....Man, this football program is doomed.

I want to be sensitive to what Jerry goes through, but this is the third time a seizure has prevented him from coaching. For the long term good of the program we need to ask if this position is beyond what Jerry Kill is capable of handling.

Kill needs to do whats good for the program, and especially himself, and resign.

This is one of those delicious recurring moments in Gophers' football history wherein hope gets vanquished by reality. And reality is a permanent spot near the bottom of the "Legends" (following a 0-5 record this year against division opponents).

the way the gophers are playing they need to forget about playing in div I maybe if they moved down to div 2 they might have some success

I have been a Kill supporter since day one, and given Jerry the benefit of the doubt. This, however, is unsustainable. The kids on the team can't be worrying, first and foremost, about the health of the coach- their main concern should be how to beat the opponent. Time to circle the wagons and come up with an immediate plan B...

You would think that a university that has the fourth-largest main campus student body in the United States, with 51,853 students in 2012–2013, could come up with better wide receivers than what the Gophers have. Barker was a good receiver but he wouldn't have made a difference either. There was nobody open all day.

since 1967 this football program has been a complete joke. New stadiums, new coaches, new players, nothing ever changes. I've been proposing for several years the Gophers move down a level or 2. Perhaps the NSIC conference would be a good fit.

a new FCS conference should be formed for North Dakota, North Dakota State, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Iowa State, North Iowa, Minnesota, St. Thomas, and perhaps UMD, Mankato or St. Cloud
