Unfortunately for him he is going through a transition in GM's like the penny-pinching McComb to open-purse Wilf's. A year or two from now when Chicago can actually get some line help and/or receivers will be the true test for him.

Brad Childress is all the proof I need to know that letting Mike Tice go was a mistake.

It became apparent after he left that Mike Tice was a much better coach than people were giving him credit for while he was here. He worked hard, did his best, put up with some real challenges, was undone by some moron players, and paid the price for the mistakes he made along the way. I remember his interview right after he was fired. He said: I'm a man, it hurts, but I wish this team the best, and I thank the fans for their support. Wow, I hope when I face that siutation I can handle it with that much class.

Never been convinced Tice is anything more than a good O line coach and pretty good guy; which is more than I can say about most coaches.
