I can assure you that if Mr. Yanez was on "A" Mountain looking toward the site of the former Tucson presidio, he was looking East, not West.

Glad to see him do this, but I can't help wondering whether the Native Americans who had been there long before the Spanish regarded the presidio, convent, and mission as urban sprawl that they wished would go away...

my family visited relatives in phoenix in the 60's. i can remember playing in small orchards as a child. i assume both cities had similar growth from 1900-1975?
