Up here in MN, we rarely have to drive in heavy fog. I have only twice. So what should you do if you are all of a sudden driving in heavy fog?
I am not sure why the headline focuses on the family being apart. Relevant to this horrendous crash?? The important thing here is that the couple died in the wreck.
I grew up in Beaumont, Texas and the IH-10 drive from Houston to Beaumont is about 19 miles and earlier this year they raised the speed limit up to 75 MPH. The fog rolls into this area of southeast Texas on a regular basis when the air is flat and no wind. Very unfortunate situation as there have been several accidents/fatalities along IH-10 over the last 30 years. At least in Minnesota we do seem to slow down a lot more when the weather changes.
