40 years of food and friendship

The women never could have imagined, four decades ago, that their gourmet club would still be meeting, every single month, over great food. (Except for the lutefisk.) Turns out friendships can weather a lot.

This story initially caught my eye because my friends and I started similiar monthly dinner meetings just over a year ago, and have mentioned how fun it would be if our group lasted a really long time. What was even more fun was when I recognized one of these ladies as my fifth grade teacher almost 20 years ago! Small world.

As a current Gustavus student, I found this article to be incredibly heart warming. I hope that my friends and I can maintain the same kinds of bonds that these four ladies have and hopefully always be there for each other during those important milestones. Great article!
