Wiederer I appreciate you updating me but I have to mention here that you led a lot of the negative chatter on the Vikings with your 5-11 predictions. When you and others would say that a 5-11 record is "realistic" what are you really saying about the team? I've got no problem stating right here that the Vikings finish the last 6 games at 6-0 and start their playoff run to the Super Bowl that they will win this year. If I root for the Packers then I say that the Vikes finish 0-6 but I don't root for the Packers. Who do you people root for?

two things regard the Vikings in my con with my brother this Thanksgiving Day...1/Vikings need receivers/big play ones because their quarterback isn't that good and 2/when Andy Reid becomes available hire him as your head coach..yes that's means firing Frazier...

well 3-3 means 9-7 and on the outside looking in...4-2 probably means playoffs...which means they have to beat Saint Louis and Chcago atleast once and the pack twice...or a Houston team at home/boy did they get a gift early..

Let's not get carried away this team is not good! Playoff thoughts are rididuculs and have no chance. If Cutler plays this will be a blowout. Vikings need everything except RB. I love the Viking but you have to look at this team for what it is a very bad team without a QB.

Prediction - Ponder will fall flat on his face this week and prove once again he is not the franchise QB Spielman is trying to convince all of us that he is. Look how a rookie QB dismantled the Bears in his first start last week. Now watch Ponder this week. Of course the Ponder backers will yet again complain about the offensive line, the lack of receivers, etc. That excuse is growing old and it is time for Ponder to step up or let someone else run the offense.

Analysis and chatter from the outside world... So basically the writer is saying that his job is meaningless in the eyes of Vikings players. Some people say playing football is a job. Those people are wrong. Nobody has ever been paid to play football. They're paid to entertain fans. They are no different than the dancing Bojangles and if fans want them to do a certain dance and their entertainment dollars are contingent on doing that dance then, guess what? The dancing bears will do the dance. Football isn't a job... entertainment is how they earn their money and if the fans aren't entertained then who cares how solidified the locker room is?

Heres how it all shakes out. The Vikings are neck deep in a wild card playoff run and to have the spot they will need to be 10-6 and win 4 more games. Lets look at the games. Chicago this week(week 12) is important. The Bears are vulnerable with a piecemeal O-line, questions at QB, a short week after and emotional loss vs. a team that had 2 weeks of R&R and planning. Vikes need this game and they know it. Win Vikes. It could be a signature win to legitimize the team along with their win against the 9er's. Week 13 is @ GB and will be tough. I don't think the Vikes will be able to go to GB and win with the Packers picking up steam. Loss. Week 14 has the Bears at the Dome and I think by this time the Bears will be in complete disarray after losses to MN and Seattle. Win Vikes. Week 15 is against St. Louis Rams who are better then their record shows. They fall middle of the pack in many stats and are 50/50 at home. Its somewhat of a trap game but they will need to win this road game. Vikes win. Week 16 is in Houston and they are killers. I think the Vikes fold here but only to arguably the best team in the League. Week 17 will be against a GB team that will probably be 12-3 and have already hemmed up a playoff birth by being the NFC north champ. GB will rest a lot of starters to be ready for playoffs, it will be in the dome, and the Vikes will need this win to enter the playoffs. Win vikes. Vikes end the season 10-6 and enter the Wild card ahead of the both 9-7 Seahawks and Bucs.

@josepht38...spot on. At the beginning of the season, I felt the vikes would go 8-8. That prediction was predicated on the vikes finishing 2-4. But the Bears are reeling and this is the perfect situation to steal a win. Skol!!

The Sharpie is all ready, 6 losses to end the season, 6-10 and fire the PATHETIC Frazier,Musgrave and all the assistant clowns. Hire a real Head Coach like Cowher or Gruden, but then that would assume Zygi actually knows football.
