And the MN GOP tried to push this wonderful provisional ballot garbage down our throats here too. Hopefully in future elections the people in Az. will finally be able to stop the voter suppression that is obviously going on.

They wouldn't have this problem if same-day registration was allowed like here in MN. But then again, AZ is a rather bigoted state, so anything to make the voters feel like their votes don't matter is okay.

I wonder how many people double voted. Or triple, quadruple, etc

Isn't it something? Nation-wide efforts to suppress the vote and still we the people came through and reelected Obama. The only reason the House Republicans held onto its majority is that GOP-controlled states gerrymandered voting districts to favor their party's candidates. Maybe someday, if the GOP can offer a viable candidate and an acceptable platform, it will have a chance at the WH but for now, this is a party that's jumped off the right wing cliff.

officertruth: "I wonder how many people double voted. Or triple, quadruple, etc" More importantly, I wonder how legitimate voters who voted or tried to vote didn't get their votes counted? That was the GOP's only goal after all.

I live in Arizona. We make sure your entitled to vote before counting your ballot. If you voted twice by "accident", your vote is disallowed. Most people in Az vote by mail, but many people waited until election day and brought their ballots to the polling place, rather than mailing them in, causing delays. Our system does not suppress legal voters, but rather places a high value on the principle of one person ONE and only ONE vote. We also do not allow felons and dead people to have their votes determine the outcome of our elections. People who live in glass houses....

This sounds better than the prehistoric voting process that we hve in MN. There should be no same day registraion anywhere. If you want to vote, show some respect for our country by registering and following proper channels. The suppression talk is all baloney...

"someday the GOP will find a poor minority candidate and change our platform to stuff for free."...............Such a childish over-simplification and sweeping generalization of our political reality!
