The Wolves are unquestionably better off with Kevin Love in the lineup, but now they have to get reacquainted.

Love had an off night, he looked tired and upset almost the entire game. His hand was clearly bothering him. He went for 34 and 14. This is going to be a fun season!

My dad told me to tell Love that his dad is NOT the coach; a fellow by the name of Rick Adelman is. As far as his hand hurting him, my dad says he doesn't want to hear about it and neither does his son.

Personally, there are a couple things from this article that I'm very happy about: 1) Kevin recognized he may have lost the game with his poor shooting and 2) he realized (albeit after the fact) that the offense doesn't need and shouldn't be run through him on every possession. That last point may seem like an obvious one, but it's actually taken both Carmelo and Z-Bo 10 years to figure out that sometimes taking a backseat, scoring wise, can lead to more team success. The awesome shooting display by Kevin in the first quarter was great, but it also kept AK and Pek from finding their usual rhythm. Kevin, along with most dominant scorers in the NBA, can get going at any time, so it's going to be important that he helps his teammates catch fire before aggressively looking for his own shot. If he is starting to see that now and actually applies it in game, then that will bode well for the Wolves.
