Outstanding article!!! We have, in a short period of time, been given an excellent example of the right kind of character in one one of our young athletes. What else would we expect from a sport figure with the name of Grant! Try as I might I can't think of a "turkey" in that whole flock. I needed this breath of fresh air on Thanksgiving. I seldom saw the playing field, years ago, at the U of M when I was way down on the depth chart on a team coached by two guys named Siebert and Gostak, (sp), but I was fortunate enough to be a part of a 'team'.

Hopefully he did not learn to scream at his daughters as Kill recommends.

The sweet juxtaposition presented by the UofMN publicity machine! A.J. Barker versus the "yes sir" grandson of Bud Grant. For some reason, I no longer feel Kill is a jerk! Right...

rshack, somehow I don't think the Gopher sports info department had you in mind regarding this article. Actually, they almost assuredly don't know or care that you exist. I would daresay that such a positive article could be written about most of the Gopher football, and as for it, for most of athletes, both men and women, in every sport at the U. That is because for every one "AJ Barker", there are more than a hundred "Ryan Grant" types, doing what they can to better themselves and the team.
